Sisters of Providence announce Christmas prayer and service times

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, have announced the schedule of Advent/Christmas season Masses and services to celebrate and honor the birth of Jesus.

All services are open to the public and to people of all faith traditions. All gatherings will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Times for all services are Eastern Standard Time.

Mass on Sundays of Advent will be at 11 a.m., on the following dates: Nov. 27, Dec. 4, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18.

Mass for the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will take place at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 8.

The Christmas Eve Vigil, featuring Christmas hymns and readings, will take place at 7 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 24, with Christmas Day Mass at 11 a.m., on Sunday, Dec. 25.

Mass for the Feast of the Holy Family will take place at 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 30.

The Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, will be celebrated with an 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023.

Mass for the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord will be at 11 a.m., on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, and Mass for the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord will take place at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023.

The first Taizé Prayer gathering of the new year is scheduled for 7-8 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023.
