Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk scheduled

Saint Mary’s Village Parish invites the public to participate in the upcoming “Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk” to take place at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 10, on the grounds of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Providence Food Pantry, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Providence. The pantry serves approximately 3,000 families annually in the West Terre Haute community, providing food for those in need.

Registration for the race will begin at 9 a.m., and conclude at 9:45 a.m., with the race beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine. All those taking part are asked to bring a box of saltines as a donation for the pantry.

Cost to take part in the race is $15, with one T-shirt guaranteed to each pre-registered participant. Early registration must be received by Aug. 18. All T-shirts will be handed out during the event. Registration forms may be picked up at the West Terre Haute IGA or West Terre Haute Library. They may also be downloaded here.

Make checks for pre-registration payable to Providence Food Pantry/Hunger Bust, and mail to Providence Food Pantry, 701 W. National Ave., West Terre Haute, IN, 47885.
