Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk scheduled

Saint Mary’s Village Parish invites the public to participate in the upcoming “Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk” to take place at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 11, on the grounds of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Providence Food Pantry, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence. The pantry serves approximately 3,000 families annually in the West Terre Haute area, providing food for those in need.

Registration for the race will begin at 9 a.m., and conclude at 9:45 a.m., with the race beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine.

Cost to take part in the race is $10, with one T-shirt guaranteed to each pre-registered participant. Early registration must be received by Aug. 16. All T-shirts will be handed out during the event.

Make checks for pre-registration payable to Hunger Bust/St. Mary’s Village Church, and mail to St. Mary’s Village Church, PO Box 155, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind. 47876.

Providence Food Pantry, which is located at 701 W. National Ave., West Terre Haute, is open from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., every Thursday.
