Sisters to host virtual Taizé Prayer Service on May 11

Join the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, for song, quiet contemplation and inspired readings during the ecumenical livestream Taizé Prayer service from 7-8 p.m., on Tuesday, May 11. The 2021 theme for Taizé is “The Spirit Breathes … ”

Persons of all faith traditions are invited to the virtual gatherings, which take place on the second Tuesday of each month.

The hour-long service includes prayer, beautiful music, and a time for silence, spoken and silent prayers. The prayer is quiet and reflective, peaceful and joyful.

The Sisters of Providence, a congregation of 214 women religious, with 300 Providence Associates, collaborate with others to create a more just and hope-filled world through prayer, education, service and advocacy.
