NETWORK to host ‘Racial Wealth and Income Gap’ workshops
The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, along with the NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice for three virtual workshop opportunities during the months of March and April.
The virtual workshop, “Racial Wealth and Income Gap,” was hosted by the Sisters of Providence and NETWORK in September 2020. Sister of Providence Emily TeKolste ministers with NETWORK and will help facilitate the events via Zoom. She also helped develop the workshop.
The workshops last two-and-a-half hours and will take place at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 20; 2 p.m., on Sunday, March 28; and 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 10.
The workshop will explore 12 federal policies from the Civil War to the present that have created the wealth and income gap between Black and White Americans. There will also be an opportunity for conversation in small groups as well as information about new forms of advocacy.
There is no cost to attend.
