The joy of a religious vocation

We invite you to get a glimpse of what it means to live as a Sister of Providence. This National Vocation Awareness Week, we thought what better way to make us all more aware of a religious vocation as a Sister of Providence than by showing it!

In this video, sisters share in their own words what it means to live a vowed religious life.

Then, throughout the week, follow our social media pages, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for short video clips of sisters sharing some of the joys of their religious vocation.

Keep the women considering life as a Sister of Providence in your prayers this week. Join us in praying Sister Nancy Nolan’s prayer for vocations as we continue to invite women to join us in bringing hope to a world in need through a prayer-filled life of love, mercy and justice. Thank you!

I am always moved to tears when I watch the video. For many reasons , primarily for how proud we (Eileen and I ) are of Tracey and her passion for her work with those marginalized in the Indianapolis Area.(Eileen and I are Tracey Horan’s parents) We have been blessed with our relationship with the Sister of Providence. Our relationship has grown since we first started coming to “The Woods” when Tracey was an intern at the White Violet Center. If all goes well and we don’t get voted out we will up our relationship level by becoming Providence Associates on November 18th! Thanks to the Sisters of Providence for being so welcoming!
