Harvest Hootenanny Oct. 7

About a month from now, we’ll be setting up rows of straw bales for seating, brushing off the flatbed trailer for the bands and stringing lights in the organic gardens at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for the 2017 Harvest Hootenanny!

It’s a favorite night for many because of the delicious food, local bands playing throughout the evening, and fun with friends. So far, two bands have been confirmed — Acoustic Crowe and Weber Price. That alone will be worth the price of admission ($25), but a third band will be announced very soon.

Sept. 12 update: Dave Ryley & Acoustic Soul will perform!

Here’s the lineup of bands:

  • Weber Price
  • Dave Ryley & Acoustic Soul
  • Acoustic Crowe

There will be storytelling around the fire, face painting, a few family games, a beer garden (including wine) and tons of BBQ and sides.

You should come celebrate the harvest with the Sisters of Providence and White Violet Center’s staff, volunteers and interns 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. It’s pretty much a guaranteed fun time and the proceeds supporting White Violet Center programs is icing on the cake!

Follow White Violet Center for Eco-Justice on Facebook for regular updates.

Also, Kim Perkins and Zach Pies in the Mission Advancement office would love to hear from those wishing to support this event through sponsorships. Please click on the link to learn more about that. Purchase tickets online and we’ll mail them out to you. Bring a car load of friends and family on Oct. 7 to enjoy Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in all it’s fall glory.

Hope to see you at the Hootenanny!
