To their delight, the Sisters of Providence recently welcomed Ruth Thralls to the assisted living facility of Providence Health Care at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Ruth’s deceased husband Fred was the great, great grandson of Sarah and Joseph Thralls.

General Superior Sister Denise Wilkinson expressed the feelings of many sisters when she said, “It’s like coming full circle. The Thralls welcomed us; now we are able to welcome the Thralls. It’s so special.”

As for Ruth (who has to be the “queen of company” with frequent visits from her children, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other family members), she says, “I just love it. It’s so peaceful and calm and so familiar. The care is very good.”
