The Living Rosary invites each person to form a bead. Join us Thursday, May 8 at 6:45 p.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception for this beautiful prayer service.

On Thursday, May 8, join the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for The Living Rosary and experience the grace and power many people have discovered by “praying by hand.”

This free event is perfect for the entire family and will begin at 6:45 p.m. The prayer will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The Sisters of Providence invite men, women and children of all ages to pray a Living Rosary together.

The rosary has been a tool for prayer and meditation for almost as long as the Roman Catholic Church has existed. The word “rosary” comes from the Latin word rosarium, which means a rose garland, with the rose being one of the flowers used to symbolize the Virgin Mary.

The power and simplicity of praying with the rosary has appealed not only to Catholics, but to people of all faiths. Join us as we enter this Mother’s Day weekend, for this beautiful prayer service, where all mothers, daughters, grandmothers and granddaughters will be invited to form the rosary.
