July 24, 2011: 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Each night before going to sleep, thank God for your blessings.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matthew 13:44)

Here is another parable.
This time it’s about a hidden treasure in a field.
A person who appreciates the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of God, will do anything to possess it!
God provides all that is good. God provides everything for our good and nothing can compare with what God provides.

Action:

Sometimes we think stuff is more important than being Christian.
Is there some material thing you really want but you cannot have? Maybe it costs too much money.
Think of all the things God provides, free of charge.
Be grateful for all that you have.
Each night before going to sleep, thank God for your blessings.
