St. Isidore was born at Madrid, Spain, in the latter half of the 12th Century. For the greater part of his life he was employed as a laborer on a farm outside the city. Because farmers are an important part of our lives, gather in the garden at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods to celebrate and pray for those who grow our food and care for the land and animals.
