The photo was taken by Sister Terri Boland, SP on the motherhouse grounds of the Sisters of Providence in Ruillé-sur-Loir, France. This congregation sent Mother Theodore Guerin, foundress of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and her five sister companions to the United States in 1840.
