The Tree of Life honors donors who have given cumulative gifts of $5,000 or more to the Sisters of Providence.

The Tree of Life was established in 1986 to recognize donors who have made cumulative gifts of $5,000 or more to the Sisters of Providence. It was recently recreated and updated with the ‘leaves’ of more than 700 individuals who have reached that milestone. Many have chosen to honor or memorialize loved ones or special Sisters of Providence by engraving their names on the ‘leaves’.

The Tree of Life is located in the new Administration Building here at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, where visitors, sisters and staff view it daily. This recognition piece serves as a reminder of the love, compassion and support offered by so many companions and constituents, without whom the ministries of the Sisters of Providence could not move forward.
