From top, counter-clockwise, Sisters Dina Bato and Hannah Corbin, temporary professed, join Tracey Horan, postulant, and Sister Arrianne Whittaker, mission novice, for a fun weekend away in the forest. Yes, women in initial formation do have a lot of fun during their discernment journey with the SPs!

Upon completion of the mission novice year, women profess vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.

Temporary profession is a period of three to six years during which women continue the journey of initial formation as a Sister of Providence.

In addition to continuing in ministry, these temporarily professed sisters will:
• develop a personal plan for growth and development in religious life
• attend regular meetings with an SP mentor
• participate in Congregation events and activities
• complete annual evaluations; and renew profession of vows
