Mother Theodore Guerin was declared a saint in St. Peter’s Square in Rome Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006. Sisters and pilgrims celebrated in Rome during the canonization ceremony. Seven hours later at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind., sisters and visitors to the Church of the Immaculate Conception celebrated during the Eucharistic Liturgy.
